February 1, 2017
Lanham, Md. — The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) announced today that Hardrives Inc. of Rogers, Minn., won a 2016 Quality in Construction Award for excellence in construction of an asphalt pavement. The company received its award today at a ceremony during the association’s 62nd Annual Meeting in Orlando.
"The goal of every paving contractor is to build a high-quality road — a road that meets and exceeds stringent performance requirements," said 2016 NAPA Chairman Kevin Kelly. "Earning a Quality in Construction Award shows a strong commitment to quality from a contractor who measures their project against industry best practices. In earning this Quality in Construction Award, Hardrives has constructed a safe, quiet, smooth asphalt pavement."
Hardrives won the award for the full depth reclamation, milling, and paving of a section of U.S. 12 in Meeker County. The company incorporated the maximum reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) into project mixes to conserve more than16,000 tons of new aggregates and more than 800 tons of new liquid asphalt. Hardrives minimized traffic delays while producing an excellent finished road with a superior driving surface.
